There are so many wonderful pubs and restaurants dotted around Norfolk that you will be spoilt for choice.

Here is a selection within easy reach of "The Mole Hole"

The Lynn Arms - Syderstone

"The Lynn Arms" is around a 20 minute stroll across footpaths to the rear of the cottage and specialise on a Gluten Free menu which their head chef Michael, is extremely passionate about.

Alongside a traditional pub menu of steaks, homemade burgers, fish and vegetarian options, they provide daily specials which are just that little bit special and has a great selection of ales, gins and spirits.

Great for a sunny afternoon walk, though the wonderful Norfolk countryside.

The Duck Inn - Stanhoe

An award winning rustic-smart gastropub, serving the best in local produce and East Anglian ales. Friendly and efficient service perfectly compliment the incredible food served up by chef patron Ben Handley and his team. Norfolk favourites such as Brancaster crab, steaming bowls of Norfolk mussels, locally-smoked salmon with gingerbread are regular highlights; along with Chef Handley’s famous black pudding-scotched quail’s eggs.

Sundays' roasts of local pork and Holkham Estate beef are widely regarded as the best along the coast - It really is a lovely Sunday lunch.

The Ship Inn - Brancaster

All of the meals are prepared to order using fresh, quality, natural ingredients from local farmers, fishermen and traders. The menu changes on a regular basis due to the nature of using seasonal ingredients.

The Rose & Crown - Snettisham

Built in the 14th century to cater for the builders working on St. Mary’s church, the R&C has been looking after thirsty drinkers for around 700 years!

As far as possible all ingredients are sourced locally, making full use of the wonderful produce of the area in season: mussels, oysters and samphire from Brancaster, asparagus and strawberries from local farmers, herbs from the allotments of Snettisham and game from the gentlemen in wellies in the back bar!

This is one of our favourite pubs and has the added bonus of a brilliant outdoor children's play area.

The Orange Tree - Thornham

The Orange Tree is a stylish, contemporary dining pub, nestled in one of North Norfolk’s most beautiful coastal villages.

The Orange Tree is a family owned business and strives hard, day and night, to serve award-winning food, from top quality local produce in a laid back, ‘unstuffy’ environment.

The Life Boat Inn - Thornham

The Lifeboat Inn, restaurant and bar in North Norfolk, offers sumptuous food, fine wines, a selection of local ales along with roaring fires - all the genuine charm of a traditional coastal inn.

In summer, enjoy alfresco dining in the outside terrace or sample the extensive collection of ales, lagers, wines and spirits in the sheltered, courtyard beer garden. In winter, choose between the oak-beamed bar or comfortable lounge with a vast open fire.

The Hoste - Burnham Market

Recently recognised by The Times as one of the top 25 best food destinations, The Hoste offers two award-winning restaurants, the stylish Burnham Market Brasserie with views of the sheltered garden, serving contemporary modern British cuisine and signature classic dishes whilst the traditional panelled dining room provides an enviable dining experience, a new fine dining menu offering modern British cuisine with a twist.

Also great for a quick pint after visiting the shops and local fishmongers (Gurneys) in Burnham Market.
